Church vehicles? Whatcha got?
We're looking at selling our two old (15+) vans. We really only need one right now. But I'm not wanting to keep either of them because I feel that they are unsafe and expensive to maintain and insurance.
We're been renting 12 passenger vans for our long trips, and using one of our 12 passengers for local travel.
But I've been looking into MFSAB (essentially mini-buses 14-18 passengers). They are more expensive, and will likely require a CDL to drive (which I might be ok with).
A 12-15 passenger seems the most practical, but I'm trying to anticipate for growth in our ministry, and be able to take extra people might be nice.
If we got any bigger than that, I'd like to look into a full size bus. I want safe and functional.

Just a good ol' 1998 Dodge 12 Passenger Van. Actually 15, but the back seat is my office couch! Done before my time but I think this was for safety and storage. I've had a CDL in a different state. I think it is a worthwhile investment! Good luck (and study the air brakes section for the test) |

We have a 12 passenger van and a 25 passenger shuttle. We have benefited from having one van anyone can drive and another that can haul people on long trips. The other great thing about the 25 passenger is that it has one of those state of the art VCRs plugged into an amazing 15 inch TV. |

well we use ours for a much different reason. we were not looking for something we could use every so often but rather that we could use weekly. SO I don't think I can help but I like to show it off anyway kid of a pride and joy thing. |

I'm not certain that any of them require a Commercial Drivers License (CDL) since they're technically not "commercial." I know our insurance company requires a CDL but I don't think the law necessarily does. I could be wrong. |

We have three shuttles. 1 15 passenger shuttle that anyone on the church insurance can drive and then 2 25 passenger shuttles that you have to have a CDL to drive. |
