I don't think I can answer this, but I do have another question to go along with it. I'm a newbie, how do I help train my leaders with myself being new and without hardly any budget assigned for leader development?

I took some of my leaders to the National Youth Ministry Conference a couple months ago. For me, it's the best investment of budget funds. There's nothing more important than having well-trained, passionate leaders. It helps keep them on board for the long-haul, too.

Yes. Much of the time I provide the training, but we will occasionally bring someone in or go to a local seminar.

On May 2nd we are bringing in my friend Kent Julian from www.IOYW.com. They do an excellent job!!

This year our budget is loaded with money for training for our leaders. We pay for any conference they want to go to (within reason) and we are looking to bring in some speakers. We also have a library of books for them to read and I am working on some training videos based on different books.

At a district level we offer training twice a year and are willing to pay for most if not all of it if they are a part of our summer camps. In our local church if they are youth staff I provide the same opportunities. Some of them work at the district level, so district picks up the tab.

We give opportunity to go to two different training sessions.
