Tag 'em. If they don't like being in the picture they can remove the tag. It's one of the wonderful features of Facebook.

I only tag leaders and link the photos to our GVCC Youth page on facebook, and let the student's tag themselves. It gets around having to do photo-waivers. (Part of Canada's privacy laws.)

Yes I tag them! Great way to connect with students and get traffic on your page

Yup, I tag them all. In fact, I take pictures and include them in videos just so I can tag them! The more people I tag, the more likely that video or photo is to show up in the home feed for their mutual friends and the better we can connect with them.

For example, I include kids in our weekly YG news video so that when their friends see it on Facebook, now they've just heard all our announcements and what's going on with our ministry. Many of them end up becoming fans of our facebook page and the relationship building can start online. They see our faces, get to "know us" a bit, and see what we're about.

Most of our parents and kids love being tagged, but starting this year, we have them sign off on it as part of our medical release form

Absolutely! This way, it shows up on their friends pages and they have a freeview of activities our youth does. This is a great outreach just by simply clicking it and typing a name.

I post the pics and let the the students do the tagging especially if it was an outreach with a bunch of kids I did not know.

We usually tag the students that are regulars or student leaders and then they usually will tag everyone else. The buzz that comes from it is amazing, especially if you have a visitor that is in the picture.
Also remember that these pictures show up on your students wall and then their friends get to see the fun/excitment/seriousness of your events, great advertising.
