Yes. It is one of my highlights of ministry. I take the students that qualify on a specially designed trip for them. Qualifications include: From November to July they can only miss 5 times (Wednesdays & Sundays), participation in our Summer Camp. Currently planning a trip for July to FL (near former church that I served at). I try to keep the cost to $300.00. Students really look forward to it and it generally is the "cream of the crop" that have been so faithful to our ministry and truly take ownership in it. Most of the time we have church members that step up and pay for the trip for most of them...it is great.

Never done a Senior trip, but the discussion here has started my thought process for possibly something next year.

Thanks for starting the question!

I guess I did this last year ... though it wasn't billed as a senior trip. Two of my students graduated in June. We heard Hillsong United would be in Indiana (a good 8 hours away). We just decided to be totally crazy and drive out to see them. It was a spur of the moment thing based on a common interest that grew out of the relationship that had been developed over the years. With only two students, you could easily do something like this.

One final thought. I have a senior that is graduating and then heading directly to NADC in Nashville. He can't make the FL trip with us so we are planning a "special" trip with me and few others to a destination of his choosing (within reason :). He has given so much back to the ministry he deserves it. So Six Flags...or a weekend trip for him is very special. Just a thought.

Would love to do it but have never been able to work it out. Too much going on with our Seniors to make it come together.

We always have a special Senior day (at a pool or local lake) but never a trip.

We don't yet but I have thought about it. Something almost like a going away present to them.

Tim Sch...

I haven't taking just the seniors away for a retreat/trip either. I just include them in our normal sr. high trips and stuff.
