Well, man this is definitely a common problem. The idea of getting so busy preparing spiritual food for others that you don't eat yourself I think is a mentality we've all fallen into at some point.

I don't know if this will help or not, but something I tried that got me back into the habit of spending time with God was something called "The Daily Office". You can check it out at dailyoffice.org

Just so you know, it is a very liturgical devotional that has written out prayers and selected scriptures, but there's also space in there for personal prayers and petitions. It's really helped me to get back into the habit of getting spiritually fed, and I hope it can help you too!

I think you have to actually just want it. Its the same with breaking any habit, you have to actually want to break the habit, or start the habit.

Quite honestly, as well, with the spiritual disciplines for me i could never get in the habit of them because I too often tried to schedule the time and always missed the schedule. Just always being free about it has helped me out. Its ok for the disciplines to be a part of your schedule and not be set apart as some sort of holy practice, because doing them isnt what makes us holy, its what we get out of them, if that makes sense/came out right
