It says a lot that you are so concerned for your friends. The first think I would say to you is, Don't underestimate the power of prayer! God uses our prayers for our family and friends in powerful ways. If you have normal contact with her, I would just focus on living out Jesus to her. Being Jesus to someone who is struggling can make a HUGE difference in how they view God and Christianity. You can encourage her to join you at Youth events, or other functions with Christians. You could even ask her questions about how she views God and help give her an outlet for her thoughts and feelings. The fact of the matter is that you cannot control her behavior or her choices. That is all on her. You CAN provide a good friendship for her!

First off, it's great that you're showing concern and that you want to care for your friend. That's compassion in it's truest form.

It's also important to know, that when dealing with grief and substance abuse, you're not equipped to be able to completely help her. One of the best things to do, would be to find a youth pastor or guidance counselor who would be willing to help, and then talk to your friend about the importance of having someone to talk to with what she's going through. Ideally, you want to help get her connected to the support systems that are equipped and built to help her out.

Lastly, keep praying, don't give up or walk away. There's probably a strong need for stability in her life right now

I don't know what kind of resources there are in the States, but in Canada we have an organization called Kid's help phone where you can call in and be connected to a professional counselor right away. It's completely free too 1-800-668-6868. They're not a Christian organization, but they are a really great non-profit organization.
