Some good stuff has already been mentioned.

Try this out! It is called the D-Series. It is put out by the Wesleyan Publishing House. www.wesleyan.org/wph

Starting a Relationship with God
Knowing What Christians Believe
Living a Holy Life
Experiencing Baptism and Communion
Becoming a member of the Church
Finding a Place to Serve

These are the titles of the D-Series Books.

Have used some of Dare2Share's soulfuel curriculum (free on their website) to help explore some of the basics of Christianity and answer some of their questions. D2S also has Greg's book "Your Next" - going through 30 core truths in a way that students can identify with. Good activities to engage them with.

Man three have already mentioned it: 7 check points. Good stuff.

Due to my type of students background I looked in to AWANA not for them and not for me.

After reading 7 checkpoints and through prayer I saw an avenue of where I need to lead my students to deepen their faith. By the way I teach middle school 6th - 8th. The cool thing is when my students talk to their parents about me back in the beginning that they would say "Nick is not about lights, camera, and action. He is all about the ministry growing our faith deep and not wide". Broke my heart when I heard that.

Another good book that I do for my small groups which were in the first one by Doug Fields "Beginning in Jesus". Great stuff to really challenge their minds.

For our small groups we use stuff from SimplyYouthMinistry.com. When I talk, I usually write my own material. Our Sunday School teachers usually write their own. Our Sr High is going through the Serendipity Bible and doing discussions, where our Jr High is going through the books by Kurt Johnston called My Family, My Church, etc.
There are tons of resources out there. You need to decide the level of your students and will probably need to tailor something to meet their needs. All our small groups use the same curriculum but each teacher modifies it to their specific students.

7 checkpoints is good...but expensive.
pastor2youth.com, thesource4ym.com & dare2share.org are all free with a simple account(email and PW) teenlifeministries.com is like $100 per year and has a ton of stuff on it. Do a google search and you can come up with a lot of free stuff first before you buy, save your budget for ministry.

7 Checkpoints stuff is definitely good. One of the best things out there right now is Student Life's Bible study (www.studentlifebiblestudy.com).

Great material with lots of flexibility for different age groups. You can check out free lessons on their website to see what you think.

Hope this helps!
