Lifeway's Known Curriculum
Hey, has anyone ever used Lifeway's Known Curriculum? What did you think of it?

It's not bad, but I think the kids are ready to change from the lifeway package when they're in high school. We're about to start using the Student life Bible Study for our 5-8th graders on Sunday mornings. I like how it goes thru the Bible in 3 years and then has studies past that. To me, it's better than the Known because it doesn't just jump all over the Bible looking for Bible stories. |

I use it for our small groups. I like it because my small group leaders like it. And if they dont like a topic, they know it's going to change in 4 weeks, so they are ok with it. The midweek stuff is ok, I have used it a little, but honestly I have to work harder rewriting it for my context than I would if I just did my curriculum. All in all, its about as quality as I think Lifeway has come out with in a while. But for small groups, I think its good stuff. It is short enough to not be boring, but deep enough to allow for decent study. My students like it because it allows for discussion, but not so much discussion that they feel pressure. It's a good mix. I would say preview it with a small group or two |
