Allow students to serve in the adult service.

Allow adults to serve in the youth service.

Do events/activities that include both adult and student.

Don't use language (terms) that put up a wall between the two groups, speak highly of the adult worship service and encourage them to engage in worship, not just observe!

Use statistics to your advantage. 75% of kids 17-30 drop out and only 25% come back. What does the 25% that stay longterm have in common? "The most important reason why people stay at your church is relationships" (poll by Barna). Get a list of your kids together then take it to your Senior adult classes. Have them "adopt" a grandchild. Go to their games, pray for them, call, email, txt, whatever once a week. Have them commit to devote to a relationship with them. If they don't know how to txt, email, etc AWESOME. teach them. Show them a piece of the kids world and they'll get some perspective of what's changed over the years.
