Response to a movie regarding youth ministry
Just curious if anyone has watched this movie (http://dividedthemovie.com/). It's free to watch online. It's interesting. I'm just curious to know some responses some of you have.

I saw it about a month ago. First thought: why is a 19 year old making a documentary about youth ministry when he himself was pulled from youth ministry in high school? The movie pushed a huge agenda, mostly stemming from its main sponsor NCFIC (National Center for Family-Integrated Church). I have a hard time respecting biased, one-sided arguments such as the one this "filmmaker" chose to do. While I disagreed with the majority of the movie, it did stir up some good questions that deserve a second look with our ministries. It's not the best made film, but it's worth the look. |
