We work hand in hand with the Sr Pastor in what we teach, what we believe, our foundations are of the same principles. As a staff we are all on the same page, and that helps with unity with each other and inside the church. I feel we are VERY healthy!

I do as much communication weekly in person as I can, and then try and use other social network programs to keep in touch.

I totally agree with John. I am having difficulty getting the members of my church to realize that Youth Ministry and communicating with parents is a church community effort. Most of the kids coming to the monthly programs are unchurched and so are the parents! Youth leaders definitely need assistance in not only equipping the students but also equipping the parents. This has to definitely be a church-wide effort!

I try communicate as ,much as possible, a weekly email blast, parent website (http://eastviewparents.blogspot.com/), a letter home the first Wednesday of the month. I've tried the whole meeting thing. I'm coming to the conclusion that this needs to be a church-wide effort, especially when most of the kids coming are unchurched.

So for me, it's communication. but, like Tim says, putting a piece of paper in a hand does not a disciple make.

See video. It cuts off at the end, but I pretty much said everything I was gonna say anyway. :-)
