Talk with her about it and listen to what she has to say about where the anger is coming from. Like pastor e said, it could be a number of things ranging from petty to serious. As much as you're able, help to walk her through it. If it's a more serious matter, think about getting more help such as another pastor or a trained counselor. If there is abuse going on don't be afraid to report it. Also, you might want to talk to the mom too and try see things from her side, while being sensitive to keeping what the teen said confidential. Look at Proverbs 18:13 & 17. It's hard to assess a situation and give advice if you haven't heard and tried to understand both sides. |

Ask them why they're having anger issues with her. They could be angry with her from anything like she won't let them jump off a bridge to she won't do anything about an abusive husband/boyfriend. After dealing with teens for 10 years, I've found that it's usually something ridiculous. However, those times open themselves up to talking about salvation. You know...He loved me when I was unloveable...I was bought with a price...and so were some of you...etc. 2 Corinthians would also be a good reference for them, dealing with suffering and comfort. |
