There are three levels on which I see my students.
1. Most committed, giving 4 hours/week.
2. Somewhat committed, giving 2 _ hours/week.
3. One service a week, giving 1 _ hours
That means that out of their entire week…
• The most committed student, 2.4% is spent with me.
• The somewhat committed student, 1.5% is spent with me.
• The one service a week student, .89% is spent with me.
I was frustrated by the thought that my .89% - 2.4% is up against the following:
20.8% spent at school,
12% spent in front of the television
9% spent on the internet
and I don't even want to try to calculate the time spent texting.
(Ran out of room will e-mail rest if you want it)

absolutely I have felt like that after an event. I think it comes down to you put so much time and effort into making it a success, that when we don't get the expected results we anticipated we feel like it wasn't good enough event.

My group went on a weekend trip last month that had me feeling the same way. More than half our kids seemed like they got nothing but a free t-shirt out of the whole thing.
But you know, I think a lot of it is Satan getting us down. We're on the front lines with these kids; the devil knows it. He doesn't make our job easy, & this is just one way he tries to get to us. It can be devastating after we put so much of ourselves, our time, our efforts into something &then not see tangible results, or as many results as we had secretly been hoping for.
Don't lose heart. If it gets to really bad consider taking a vacation. An old pastor told me once that sometimes the best thing you can do for your ministry is take yourself on a vacation.
